Trumbull Academy Summer Select

What is the Trumbull Academy Summer Select Soccer program?
Working together, Trumbull AYSO and Trumbull United Soccer Clubs have started this new program to meet the growing demand for soccer over the summer! Sessions and tournaments will be ran by professional coaches from the Tri-Town Soccer Academy.

What does the program consist of?
The program consists of twice-a-week soccer foot skill trainings (on Tuesday and Thursday evenings) for 8 weeks and two weekend tournaments (Seaside Classic in Rhode Island and the Long Island Classic).

Additionally, we are allowing players to choose individual options as we understand that families have vacation/summer plans.

Options:
1. Full Summer Package
2. Weekday foot skill training only option
3. Tournament only option (either one or both tournaments) See disclaimer in red below**

Please note: tournaments are not available for players born in 2016, 2017, or 2018. Therefore, the only option available for players born in 2016, 2017, or 2018 is the Weekday foot skill training only option.

**Tournament Only Option Disclaimer: The tournament only option is subject to availability. We will make best efforts to build teams. However, if not enough players register for the tournament only option and we cannot build a team for an age group, you will be refunded the cost of the Tournament Only Option (not including the AYSO National Membership and Insurance fee and SportsConnect processing fee).

What is the cost of each program?
Full Summer Package is $525
Weekday foot skill trainings only option $325
Tournament only option $200 for one tournament or $335 for both tournaments

Please note: AYSO’s $20 National membership and insurance fee is not included in the above prices and will be added if you have not already done so for the 2022/2023 soccer year.

Sports Connect $2.75 processing fee also not included in the above prices.

Also, we are not responsible for costs of lodging, food, or transportation to/from/during any of the Trumbull Academy Summer Select sessions.

What are the details for the weekday foot skill trainings?
Foot skill trainings will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Indian Ledge Park on the turf field.
The only exception is Tuesday July 4th. That session will be played on Wednesday July 5th.

16 sessions total (14 sessions guaranteed in the event of inclement weather).

For the Summer of 2023, sessions will begin on June 27th and end on August 17th

Sessions will be broken up by age group (birth year):
2016, 2017, 2018 - 4:30pm to 5:30pm
2013, 2014, 2015 - 5:30pm to 6:45pm
2012 and older - 6:45pm to 8:00pm

What are the details for the tournaments?:

Seaside Classic in Charlestown, RI
July 15th & 16th
four games guaranteed

Long Island Classic in West Islip/Sachem/Smithtown Long Island:
August 19th & 20th
four games guaranteed

Please note: There are no tournaments available for the players born in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Do we need to buy uniforms?
All players registered in the Full Package or the Tournament Only Package will receive a uniform kit which will consist of home and away jerseys, shorts, and socks.

All players registered in the Full Package or the Training only option will receive a practice shirt.

Costs for the uniform kit and the practice jerseys are already included.

What gear should my player bring?
1) All players must bring plenty of water to every session!
2) Shin guards must be worn at every session.
3) Cleats (or turfs for the foot skill training sessions at Indian Ledge)
4) Players should bring a soccer ball to every session.
5) Players should come with lots of energy and smiles!!!

My family has vacation plans and will be away for a week this summer. Can you prorate me or give me a rebate for the week that we are away?
No. Unfortunately, there are too many fixed costs involved to give families individual/custom prorated discounts.

Do you offer discounts to families with multiple siblings?
No.

How do I know which team my player will be on for the Tournaments?
The Director of Coaching for Tri-Town Soccer and the Tri-Town coaches will be in charge of building teams and placing teams in appropriate flights at the tournaments.

My players are not Trumbull residents, are they allowed to participate?
No. The Trumbull Academy Summer Select Soccer program requires that 100% of participants are Trumbull residents. Proof of residency must be presented if requested. Anyone not providing proof of residency when requested or falsifying their residency status will not be allowed to participate and will not be entitled to any type of refund.

What if I register and then my summer plans change and I need a refund?

Due to upfront costs and fixed costs to run the Summer Select program, the refund policy for the Summer Select program is:

The $20 AYSO National Membership and Insurance fee is non-refundable.
The $2.75 SportsConnect Processing fees are non-refundable.
Additionally, there will be a $35 refund processing fee per player.

If you request a refund prior to June 20th, you will receive the balance of the program that you paid for minus the above-listed fees.

If you request a refund after June 20th, you will receive the balance of 50% of the program that you paid for minus the above-listed fees.
